Reflections of a Stonewall Warrior – A conversation with Mark Segal
Gay Rights Activist Mark Segal was just 18 years old when he found himself on the front lines of the Stonewall riots of 1969. He went on to help form the gay liberation front that same year and became a member of the Christopher Street Gay Liberation Day committee, which organized the first gay pride parade in 1970. Segal is the founder and former president of the National Gay Newspaper Guild, founder of the Philadelphia Gay News, and author of the memoir. In our discussion for Instinct Magazine, Mark reflects on LGBTQ equality past and present, including his thoughts on then-President Donald Trump.
